About How We Started
Floyd “Shorty” Sawyer was born on June 6th, 1954 in Springfield, Missouri. He took great pride in his family and his work. He was a lover of playing pool, racing drag cars, and spending time with his boys and his wife, LeaAnn.
Floyd purchased his first tow truck in 1979. He would spend the next 42 years building his business and serving others with the help of his fabulous staff that included his wife and 2 boys. With a clear vision and a heart for serving the community, Floyd’s Wrecker Service was born. He met his wife LeaAnn in 1985, and married in 1992.
